DESCRIPTION:At this year’s National Jamboree\, the Alumni Adventure Complex will be offering leather branding to any and all Jamboree participants\, staff\, and visitors who wish to participate. Our branding expert will be operating two\, Liquid Propane (LP) forges\, and assisting patrons will the physical branding of leather items (i.e.\, belts\, boots\, etc.). There will be a variety of brands to choose from\, and most will measure 1.5” inch x 1.5” inch in size. Available brands include those from each of the four BSA High Adventure Bases\, NESA\, BSA Alumni\, and the OA Alliance. Safety is of paramount importance to all of us\, and will be strictly enforced. So\, be sure to stop by and try out your branding skills at the Alumni Adventure Complex.

He was so very popular at the 2013 and 2017 National Scout Jamborees we have invited him back.\n\nRegis is a 15-year-old American Bald Eagle. Regis has been an educational bird from the Three River Avian Center in Brooks\, WV for over ten years. The Three River Avian Center is a wildlife refuge center dedicated to conserving West Virginia’s wild birds and to educating and involving the public in ecosystem stewardship.\n\nHe enjoys interacting with visitors and he will be at the NESA Exhibit in the Scott Summit Center Action Point each of the program days in the mornings from 8:30 to noon every day except Sunday\, July 23rd.  Come and get your picture with a real Bald Eagle for your social media page.

Jamboree participants will be invited to complete thank you cards which they can bring to someone at the Jamboree\, such as a friend\, Scoutmaster\, or staff member\, who inspired or helped them. We will have a gratitude wall where Scouts can share positive affirmations with one another. Cold water and soft drinks will be available along with wrapped candy and snacks.

DESCRIPTION:Have fun learning and experiencing challenges to everyday living created by various disabilities while participating in activities typically encountered by Scouts in units\, school\, sports and community settings.\nComplete a minimum of 12 challenges to earn a sticker or 16 challenges to earn a patch. Complete more to receive an additional prize. \nExamples of activities include:\nWheelchair Basketball (open afternoons only)\nBlind laser BB gun (open morning 20\, 21\, 24 & 28 only)\nNavigate an obstacle course on crutches\nExperience “invisible disabilities” in the Tent of Possibilities and Neurodiversity Tent \n  \nWhile experiencing the challenges\, work your way through a majority of the Disabilities Awareness Merit Badge.\nAdult Volunteers will have opportunities to earn legacy Special Needs Scouting patches! \nThe activity will be closed 12noon- 1pm each day in order to take a lunch break.

DESCRIPTION:The Titan Challenge is an adventure obstacle course program that covers two miles of the Justice Heights Mountain with on-trail challenges of varying degrees of difficulty. Participants will run\, climb\, jump\, carry\, and lift through 22 stations along the course. Scouts will challenge themselves through their individual grit\, teamwork\, tenacity\, and creativity to complete the tasks along the trail. Ring the bell at the summit half-way point to celebrate. \n\nTitan Challenge will operate from 9AM to 4:30PM on normal program days.\nThe Titan Challenge has no special policies for participation. Participants are encouraged to do their best on each of the obstacles but can simply move on if any element is too difficult.\nScouts who complete the Challenge will be able to get a special tattoo stamp and a passport stamp toward a limited edition Challenge Base Camp patch as a token of the achievement.\n\n“The Titan Challenge is located uphill from Subcamp Delta 3\, at the corner of Loop Rd. and Echo Pass. “
