Important Vehicle Guidelines for Jamboree Staff

Attention all staff members who have driven to the 2023 National Jamboree! It is essential that each of you is aware of the parking regulations and requirements to maintain a safe and organized Jamboree experience.

Please review the following guidelines and take appropriate action to ensure compliance. Failure to follow safe driving practices or parking illegally will result in revocation of your driving privileges for the remainder of the jamboree.

Parking

  • Starting Monday July 17th every vehicle on site must have a Jamboree issued parking placard in the windshield.  The only exception is a marked Government Vehicle.
  • If you need a parking placard and did not receive it when you checked in, please email [email protected] so your request to park on site can be reviewed.
  • DEAD STORAGE PARKING PLACARD (no color border) – Vehicles with this placard must park in the A/B dead storage lot. If you possess a dead storage placard, you must write your name and cell phone number on the placard. This is crucial as it allows us to contact you if your vehicle needs to be moved or is parked illegally. Failure to provide contact information may result in your vehicle being towed at your expense. Remember, this pass does not grant driving access beyond the A/B dead storage parking lot.
  • ALL ACCESS PLACARD (striped borders) – The All Access Pass is specifically intended for driving and parking in designated areas to fulfill your jamboree duties. Please note that this pass does not grant permission to drive to your tent or engage in unnecessary on-site driving.
  • PARKING ON SITE – Park only in designated spaces and refrain from parking along the road or at intersections. It is crucial to ensure easy passage for buses, ambulances, and fire trucks.

Gate Access

  • Only passes with a striped border or a solid Green border are permitted to enter through the North or South Gate. All other passes must enter through the South Gate ONLY, which operates from 7 am to 10 pm daily.

Driving

  • Always remember that posted speed limits are the maximum speeds permitted onsite.
  • Slow down and exercise caution when pedestrians are present. Being courteous and considerate is in line with the Scout Law.
