LISTENING EAR TENTS- 4pm – 10pm (tier 1)
Listening Ear is an entry level portal, staffed by lay people and welcomes walk-ins for all Jamboree participants. Listening Ear will provide organized, committed, and competent staff to guide and support the attendee during their time of distress. Listening Ear services can be accessed in each subcamp of Charlie and Delta throughout the 2023 National Jamboree.
BASE CAMP MENTAL HEALTH (BCMH)- 24 hours per day (tier 2)
Staffed by licensed mental health clinicians, Base Camp Mental Health will provide assessment, stabilization, and recommendations to assist the participant and their unit leadership to assist in a return to safe participation in Jamboree.
Base Camp Mental Health can be accessed at each of the Base Camp Medical Clinics (Alpha/Bravo, Charlie, Delta) via walk-in for self-referral, on warm handoff from medical provider, on referral from Listening Ear, Chaplain or Commissioner.
MENTAL HEALTH CLINIC (located next to Jamboree Health Center)- 24 hours per day (tier 3)
Staffed by licensed mental health clinicians experienced in emergency and high-stress situations, the Jamboree Mental Health clinic will provide assessment, stabilization, and immediate resources to ensure safety and wellbeing of the participant and/or unit leadership. The Mental Health Clinic is located adjacent to Jamboree Health Center and can be accessed via walk-in for self-referral, on warm handoff from medical provider, on referral from Base Camp Mental Health.
There should perhaps be another separate tab (under Mental Health Services) that reads “Mental Health Emergency”, under which the following line and phone number should appear.
